My girlfriends and I just returned from a very successful shopping trip to High Point. Based on Trip Advisor forum advice, we used Shannon Neal of Where You Want to Go tours and are SO happy we did. It is worth the trip to High Point if you're looking to redecorate a couple of rooms or even a whole house (as we were).
Before we left, Shannon learned what style furniture we wanted and took us to stores that best matched our needs. He made appointments with experienced designers at FurnitureLand South, making that huge building easy to navigate and allowing us to get exactly what we needed in a short period of time. Shannon got us into stores that were closed (it was the week after the Fall market) and stores that only designers can enter.
We received prices that were at least 40-50% off retail, thanks in part to Shannon. He helped us with hotel discounts, reservations at great restaurants and ensured our every need was taken care of. It was an unbelievable level of customer service at a VERY reasonable price. We couldn't be happier with Shannon's service and our trip to High Point!

Shannon took us to three showrooms on our first day in NC and introduced us to some top quality sales people who took the time to help us find what we needed. They provided great designer services on fabrics and colors to match our home and rugs. The selection of furniture styles and types is extensive in these showrooms (and even more so throughout the High Point area), so getting with the right person is essential to an efficient shopping tour. We might have wasted a lot of time in the wrong stores had we gone in "cold turkey," so we believe Shannon's service more than paid for itself.

Recently, my sister and I made a trip to High Point, North Carolina to shop for furniture. Before leaving home, I checked the Internet for stores and locations and noticed an ad for Mr. Neal's personal shopping service. I contacted him and arranged to have him meet us at our hotel in High Point.
Mr. Neal arrived in a large, new vehicle, dressed in a sports jacket and sporting a broad smile, and shuttled us to a variety of furniture stores. He asked what we were looking for, outlined the stores he thought would be best to visit, and then called ahead to arrange for sales associates to meet us. As we entered each store he quickly made introductions, then we were taken to specific areas featuring the items we intended to see.
As a result of this process, my sister and I each found and purchased furniture in less than a day. Using Mr. Neal's personalized shopping service allowed us to make the best use of our time by targeting the stores most likely to have what we wanted. He even knew a wonderful place to have lunch!
Throughout our busy day, Mr. Neal was an extremely efficient and enjoyable shopping companion. As my sister and I shopped, he was attentive, helpful and responsive, even taking a picture of the sofa I found e-mailing it to a friend for me. No one could have performed this job with greater care, efficiency or patience.

Wow! What an adventure! Who would have thought furniture shopping could be so quick and easy? Shannon made the weekend more than just shopping! He was courteous, prompt and informative every step of the way. Not only did he have a wonderful feel for what we wanted for our addition, but he made it fun. He knew exactly when my husband needed to grab some lunch or a cup of coffee. We purchased four beautiful rooms of furniture from floor to ceiling in just 11 hours and had time in the weekend for some romantic dinners at beautiful restaurants that Shannon gladly recommended. Not only were they great choices, but he was happy to make the reservations and drop us off and pick us up. We were treated like true VIPs for the entire weekend.
